It was only now that Mari noticed how gigantic Ba Sign Se was from the view of the upper circle. She'd have to somehow get into the castle... she noted that said castle was heavily guarded. A job would be difficult to find. The innocence of her looks was in her favor, for no one suspected the darkbending that could stir within her.
Mari walked briskly towards the palace, adjusting her long-sleeved white shirt. Her purple shorts stood out in the sea of greens, browns, and whites, but when was that a bad thing?

Risu noticed the young girl, he took stock of her flamboyant dress and quickly gave pursuit, he sidled up alongside her "hey, what are you doin' in the big city little miss?" he said with a slight smile

Mari was startled with the sudden attention. Mari shot him a "really" look and simply frowned. "Can't a girl get a vacation?"

Risu gave a look of mock surprise "Can't a guy make conversation?" he asked with a small chuckle

Now, Mari was not one to fool around. She had a job to attend to, and a high-paying client wouldn't rest until said task was carried through.
She took a right and continued navigating throughout the busy streets.
"Well if you want to, be my guest." She muttered.

"why so uptight girly girl, loosen up a bit, what are you up to anyway?" he asked with a large grin

"Looking for a job." Mari replied easily, and it wasn't too far from the truth... "Preferably at the Palace." She added. "And yourself?"

"just goin' with the flow" he said absentmindedly, walking backwards beside her while playfully waving his hand up and down in a wave motion in the air "and why a job, thought you said you were on vacation?" he flashed a toothy smile at her

"Might as well try my luck while I'm here, eh?" She found herself grinning. "Either way, you won't have much fun following me." She said, hoping that he would leave her alone. "The castle is right ahead. Now to get in..." She mumbled.

Risu suddenly leaped into her path, blocking her "hey, why don't you ditch the boring stuff and we can go sass around town, it'll be much more fun" he said

Mari frowned at him. "Why do you think I'd want to go anywhere with you?" She snapped.

"cause ive got the know-how to show you the best time of your life" he grinned

Something about the way he said that made Mari laugh. "Yeah, okay." She said sarcastically. "How would you show me a good time? I really should be going."

"why do you need a job? ive got the run of this city, you name it, we can do it" he grinned and chuckled at the implication of his sentence

Mari rolled her eyes and refrained from slapping him. "I need money." she answered simply. She turned and briskly walked away, hoping he wouldn't follow her. She didn't need to make any friends, for she would be leaving soon enough.
