PostSubject: The Light of Dawn Tournament | Phase 2 | Escape from Gun'Drak! (Kamui Leihing, Tyrandé Dal'anara)   Tue Aug 09, 2016 10:16 am

You look around you and find yourself utterly alone.  Well...almost.  You have one ally.  The other person thrown into Gun'Drak.  You can abandon her, or work together, but the second option is probably a better idea.  Gun'Drak is a vicious, vicious place.  Not to be taken lightly.  You will NOT escape alone, I can promise you that.

Your rumination and planning is cut short as the twisted, warped voice of someone who could be Zim'gar-gul echoes through your head.  You cannot feel the presence of your Paladin Watcher as he speaks and that scares you.

[i]"For too long have you 'Champions' ruined our plans.  You have come into our Kingdom, you have killed our Warriors and our subjects.  Now...now you will find yourself in a different place."

"For your crimes we have seen fit to banish you to Gun'Drak.  As per orders of the King of Drak'Tharon, His Majesty Zul'Drak!  You will NOT escape this place!  You will NEVER escape this place, foolish humans!"

There is a wicked laugh that follows and then nothing.  Darness.  Cold.  You're in a stone catacombs.  There's no light save for spare torches on the walls.  The chamber seems to head deeper into the Earth via a single tunnel on the opposite wall.  You know that this must be a mistake--yet it cannot be, for there are no other pathways but forward.

You look towards your new ally.  You decide to go together.  You have no choice, for it is work together or die alone.  You may still die together but...at least you'll die with someone there beside you.

Hurry now.  You cannot tarry.  Shadows move in the Darkness, and they have not fed in 5,000 years, and they're hungry.

Tyrandé Dal'anara
Leader of the Spiritborne
High Priestess of Elounli

"Darkness covered us in the beginning, and we could not see.
We cried for guidance and the moon shone down bright upon us."

Tyrandé Dal'anara:

Ash'alah:

50,000/50,000 HP
-----------------------------------------------

Tyrandé frowned as she sat atop her massive war tiger, Ash'Alah. The tiger growled grimly. He sensed a wrongness in this place. Tyrandé did as well, but even her senses were not as honed as a fully grown Spirit Tiger. She looked at her ally. A young girl, dressed in robes of sapphire and ocean blue with streaks of red. Tyrandé knew nothing of this world or their customs, but she had a sense that these were national colours. Most likely this girl represented not just her nation, but perhaps even another. She was mixed.

So even the humans had put aside their petty differences for the sake of love. Admirable, but still not excusable of their past crimes. Their transgressions agains harmony, balance and the Spirit World had been great. While brave humans had risen up to restore it, it did not erase their failures to prevent it in Tyrandé's mind. Yet, as a High Priestess, and a novice of Elounli, she could not bring prejudice and failure to her mind.

In the mind of Elounli, and thus her Priestesses, all were welcome. All were deserving of the same kindness and respect with which the goddess treated everyone. Smiling at her young charge, Tyrandé motioned to her Spirit Tiger. "Get on, young child," she said. Her voice was a thick accent, from years of speaking a much older dialect of Common. Thalassian. Specifically Ancient Thalassian. Common had derived from Middle Thalassion which had descended from Ancient Thalassian and before that, Quelassian, the language of the Great Spirits and Gods themselves.

"Come, hurry," urged Tyrandé, "We have very little time! We must press on and escape, lest we become trapped here for all eternity. We cannot tarry!"

Kamui Leiheng
Princess of the North and South
Sword Master
General of the Water Tribe Military

Spoiler:

"My brother will be King.  I must be his blade.
His tool to command; to help make his dreams come true.
The Water Tribe will rise as an Empire, as Nation.
It's people will be proud; and I will help my brother facilitate that dream."

HP: 50,000/50,000
------------------------------------------------------

Kamui found herself within a dark chamber beneath the Earth.  A voice, which she recognized as that of Zim'gar-gul, echoed through the chambers by some magical means, unknown to her.  What Kamui DID know was that she was trapped down here and needed to escape, and she was cut off from her Paladin Protector.  She also had only a single ally, and Kamui wasn't even sure if this one was human.

She was a tall slender figure.  Beautiful by all accounts.  Slim, well curved, but toned with enough muscle that she appeared a fearsome warrior, even from beneath her armour.  She looked very much the hardened veteran.  Rode a massive Spirit Tiger, and carried an ancient and powerful looking bow.  The woman, who's purple skin, glowing white eyes and blue hair had unnerved Kamui at first.  She looked human enough to play the part but...different.  Very different.

Regardless, when she offered Kamui a ride on her tiger for the sake of escape, Kamui took it without much hesitation.  Mounting behind the woman, and grabbing tight around her waist, Kamui and the woman charged off down into the dark tunnel, ready to fight whatever came towards them.

Gun'Drak, Prison Pit of Drak'Tharon

Mal'ganis, the Dread Lord
Origin: Forces of the Old Gods
Motive: Defend Drak'Tharon for the Old Gods
Threat Level: High
Number: x1
Damage: 7,500

HP: 50,000
Spoiler:

As you two enter the dark tunnel, you hear the sound of cackling ahead.  A shiver runs up your spine but you continue.  It's just a cold, dark tunnel after all.  Or so it was, until you left the tunnel to find a massive chamber.  Torches hang everywhere, illuminating the room with braziers of green Felfire.  Gun'Drak is the stronghold of the Old Gods on Drak'Tharon.  The dark epicentre of all the corruption in the fallen Kingdom.

The centre that sits beneath the throne--Drak'Tharon Keep.  You gasp as you notice a massive wing'd beast standing at the centre of the room, reanimating corpses, and corrupted souls, twsting them to his own design.  He notices you, his purple skin and horned head turning to face you.  He has nails like swords, long and jagged like deformed, twisted claws.

His legs are cloven hooves, and he wears ornate armour.  You do not know what he is, except for the faintest whispers in your head. "Dreadlord..." something whispers in your mind.  "Mal'Ganis..." whispers another voice.  You're not sure if they're speaking Common or not, but the voices are dark and twisted, and you know you shouldn't listen...but they promise power.

So does Mal'Ganis.  He promises you power and a place at the right hand of his dark masters.  Tempting as it is, Champions, you cannot allow yourself to fall to the corruption of the Old Gods!  Ingore them!  Defeat the Dreadlord and escape Gun'Drak, hurry! And watch the Felfire Blast he's sending at you!
